The Kansas Department of Transportation begins surveying part of Highway 169 in Montgomery County on Monday.
The 15-mile survey starts about six-and-a-half miles north of the Highway 166 interchange near Coffeyville and continues north to the Highway 400 interchange. KDOT is gathering information for the proposed addition of passing lanes and intersection improvements along the highway.
Survey crews will document existing features in the corridor. Crew members will contact property owners or tenants before entering private property. The work is expected to continue through early November.
