Montgomery County announces several upcoming dates for hearings on exceeding the Revenue Neutral Rate and the 2027 budget.
Montgomery County citizens are invited to attend any of the meetings and make public comments on the proceedings. The first opportunity will be at the regular commission meeting on Monday, August 17. At that time, county officials will publish the RNR and the budget hearing. Also on that day, a budget meeting for the Verdigris Drainage District #1 will be held at 11am.
Budget Hearings will be held on Monday August 31st in both Independence and Coffeyville. The Independence meeting will take place at 9am in the Commission Room while the Coffeyville meeting will take place at 6pm in order to give those who work the opportunity to attend. That meeting will be held in the Coffeyville Commission Room at City Hall.
The public is invited to attend these meetings.
