Data centers continue to be a topic of discussion in Montgomery County from the County level to Coffeyville and Cherryvale.
Action Council Director Melissa Johnson says there are several reasons data centers would be interested in the county. Johnson says there are a number of guardrails in place when any business is looking at coming into the county.
Johnson says when it comes to data centers people are most concerned with energy and water usage. A moratorium on data centers was recently brought before the Montgomery County Commission but the motion failed without a second.
