The Montgomery County Action Council Celebrates community leaders at its annual meeting and awards ceremony

 

Around 90 community members attended the event held over the weekend at the Coffeyville County Club.

 

Executive Director Melissa Johnson opened the meeting with a report focused on calls to action for an economic development approach that puts the well-being and long-term success of Montgomery County citizens first.

 

The evening also recognized outstanding individuals and organizations whose contributions have made a lasting impact on Montgomery County. This year's award-winners include Lew Forman winning the Rob Gill Community Spirit Award and April Nutt, who won the Curtis Lavine EntrepreneurshipAward. VSE Aviation was awarded the Pear Schmidt Golden Shovel Award, and the Jim Kelley Lifetime Service Award was given to Tim Emert.
