Residents in Nowata will mark the significant anniversary of a local business tomorrow.

Nowata City Drug will receive a State of Oklahoma Commendation during a presentation tomorrow that will honor the business’ 130 years of operation. A State of Oklahoma Commendation is a formal commendation or proclamation issued by the Office of the Oklahoma Governor to recognize the achievements, dedication, or civic contributions of citizens, businesses, or non-profits. Following the presentation, attendees are invited to stay and celebrate this milestone with refreshments, fellowship, and a look back at the legacy of one of Oklahoma's oldest locally owned pharmacies.

Tomorrow’s presentation takes place at 11am at 128 East Cherokee Avenue in Nowata.
