A 66-year-old Pittsburg woman is seriously injured in a weekend accident with a semi truck.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Donna R. Miner was traveling southbound on US-69 on the northwest side of Pittsburg just after 3pm on Friday afternoon. Miner attempted a left turn onto West 20th Street when her vehicle was struck by an oncoming Freightliner. Miner was taken to Pittsburg’s Mercy Hospital. The driver of the semi 50-year-old Michael Moody of Joplin was uninjured.
