The Montgomery County Commission will hold their regular weekly meeting today and discuss a possible moratorium on data centers.
At today’s meeting commissioners will discuss a moratorium on the controversial data centers as well as on wind farms, battery storage systems and solar farms in Montgomery County. The issue was placed on today’s agenda last week after many county residents attended last week’s meeting in hopes of commissioners voting on the moratorium. The issue was not on last week’s agenda, but many in attendance spoke out against data centers during the public comment period. Residents are encouraged to attend today’s meeting to make their voices heard.
Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
