Two men suffer minor injuries in a semi truck accident on Wednesday near Iola.
The three-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of US-169 and North Dakota Road just north of Iola around 7:45 Wednesday morning. A 2008 Ford Mustang driven by 28-year-old Matthew Brungardt of Galesburg was stopped at a stop sign, waiting to make a left turn onto US-169. His vehicle was struck from behind by a 2011 Ford Taurus driven by 18-year-old Rylan Miller of Fort Scott. The collision pushed Brungardt's vehicle into the intersection, where it was struck on the driver's side by a Peterbuilt truck driven by 54-year-old Michael Endicott of Moran.
Both Brungardt and Miller sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Endicott was uninjured.
