The 153rd Annual Old Soldiers & Sailors Reunion is underway this week in Erie. This year's theme, "America, 250 Years of Freedom," celebrates the nation's 250th anniversary with six days of family-friendly events.
The celebration includes the 46th Annual American Legion IPRA World Championship Rodeo on Tuesday and Wednesday, children's activities, a free bean feed, live music, inflatables, a beer garden, and a community barbecue.
The reunion concludes Saturday with a pancake breakfast, the Reunion River Run, a car and truck show, arts and crafts vendors, a youth rodeo, and the annual Big Parade at 10:30 a.m. down Main Street.
The Old Soldiers & Sailors Reunion has been a tradition in Erie since 1873 and continues to bring together residents and visitors from across the region for a week of community celebration.
