The Neodesha City Commission announces its plan to remain revenue neutral for the 2027 budget.
At the most recent commission meeting, City Administrator Brogan Jones asked commissioners their thoughts on raising the mill levy for the upcoming year. Mayor Devin Johnson and Commissioner Ed Truelove agree that the mill levy will likely remain at 63.839.
Johnson says it’s important to show taxpayers the positive changes in the City’s finances.
The next step in the budget process will be to set a public hearing. That will likely happen sometime in August or September before the final approval of the 2027 budget.
