The Cherokee County Fair kicks off tomorrow in Columbus.

 

Check-in for 4-H, FFA, and HYA indoor exhibits happens today from 8am to 10am, with Clothing Construction at the Extension Office at 10am and the Rabbit and Poultry exhibit check-in from 6 to 8:30 tonight. As area youth prepare to compete, K-State Wildcat Extension Horticulture Agent Kenny Dodson says, what kids learn is the important part of the fair.

 

Tomorrow’s Cherokee County Fair activities begin at with the Poultry Show at 8:30am and the Rabbit Show at 9am. The canines will be featured tomorrow as well, with Dog Showmanship and Obedience at 1pm and Dog Rally and Agility at 7pm. There will be a Pedal Tractor Pull at 5:30pm. The evening will be capped off with a musical performance by Nick Sarwinski at 8:30. The carnival midway will also be open.
