The USD 446-Independence Board of Education will meet tonight to handle a variety of business items.

 

On the agenda for tonight’s meeting, will be the reorganization of the Board as members select a President and Vice-President, roles that are currently filled by Charles Barker and Marty Reichenberger. The School Board will also choose representatives for the Tri-County Special Education cooperative and the Kansas Association of School Boards Governmental Relations Network.

 

In other business, the USD 446 School Board will consider requests for early graduation from seven students and will also discuss student cell phone storage and a policy for cell phone and social media use by staff.

 

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6pm in the library at Independence High School. The meeting is open to the public.
