KDOT Announces June Bids for Projects

 

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects.

 

KDOT has awarded bids for two area projects, one in Bourbon County and another in Cowley County.

 

The Bourbon County project will repair a bridge on US-69 north of Fort Scott. The bridge carries southbound traffic over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks. The $438,000 project was awarded to P-C-I Roads, LLC, of Maple Grove, Minnesota.

 

KDOT also approved funding for a major bridge grading and surfacing project on US-77 south of Winfield. The project runs from just  north of the US- 166 junction past the south Winfield city limits to the south edge of two Walnut River Bridges. The $67 million project went to Pearson Construction, LLC, of Wichita.
