Wilson County Commission Considers EMS Agreements Between Neodesha and Fredonia Hospital

The Wilson County Commission reviews letters of termination for the termination of EMS agreements with the City of Neodesha & Fredonia Regional Hospital.

At the commission's most recent meeting, commissioners reviewed and discussed letters drafted by County Attorney Brandon Cameron that would end the agreement ahead of the July 1st deadline. The letters were approved on a 2-1 vote with Commissioner Casey Lair voting against the measure. New agreements are expected to be made for 2027.

In other business, commissioners also approved a bi-annual bridge inspection agreement with CFS Engineers for just under $22,000 for the inspection of 169 bridges. Also approved was a Kansas Department of Transportation grant of $1.2 million for the replacement of a bridge over Pumpkin Creek on Udall Road, South of 1200 Road. Commissioners also gave the go-ahead for a request to rehire Rock Goodrick as a motor grader operator.

The next Wilson County Commission meeting will be on July 8th at 9am at the courthouse in Fredonia.
