The Nowata County Commissioners will vote next week to declare a county emergency following the rainstorms over the last few weeks. Nowata County Emergency Manager Laurie Summers says a disaster declaration is already being worked on.
In order to receive state and federal funding for the county, damages must be equal to or greater than about $43,000. The date range the county commissioners will vote on next week is from June 10th to June 28th.
