The Independence Police Department is asking for the public's help as officers investigate a vehicle-versus-pedestrian hit-and-run accident.
IPD is looking for a white, four-door Ford F-150 FX4 pickup, believed to be a 2018 to 2020 model. The truck is possibly a Lariat or Platinum edition with a chrome front bumper and a Power Stroke diesel engine. The vehicle may have minor front-end damage from the crash. IPD says the truck was last seen traveling south on South 17th Street at about 10:45pm on Saturday after leaving the scene of the accident.
IPD is asking residents in the area to review any security or doorbell camera footage from that time. Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information is asked to contact IPD at (620)332-1700 and reference case number 26-01109.
