Damage caused by weekend thunderstorms caused the closure of the Caney City Swimming Pool.

The latest round of severe weather that moved through the area on Friday night caused several incidents of damage in the City of Caney. The high winds and heavy rain caused damage at the Caney swimming pool, prompting the City to close the facility until further notice.

The storms also caused downed power lines on South High Street and overturned trees on West 4th.
