Moderate flooding is ongoing for the Verdigris River near Lenapah.

As of Saturday morning, the river was near its crest at just under 34.5 feet, which is considered moderate flooding.  At 34 feet, serious agricultural flooding occurs between the Kansas border and the headwaters of Lake Oologah. State Highway 10 also becomes impassable at a point five miles east of Lenapah.

 

Waters are expected to recede below flood stage by Sunday morning.
