A vehicle crashes into the Independence Dairy Queen.
The Independence Fire Department responded to Dairy Queen at 1325 North Pennsylvania Avenue at around 5:15pm yesterday after receiving a report of a vehicle crashing into the building with the driver reportedly trapped. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle had traveled completely into the restaurant, causing moderate structural damage. Firefighters and EMS personnel made contact with the driver, who was able to exit the vehicle and declined medical transport.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No customers or employees inside the restaurant were injured. IFD says for those wondering there were no Dilly Bars injured in the incident as well.
