The Cherryvale Youth Fair returns July 8–11, bringing together young exhibitors from across the area for four days of livestock shows, exhibits, and competition.

 

Fair organizer Jackie Chandler says one of the event's unique features is that participation is open to all youth ages 7–18 and is not limited to 4-H or FFA members, providing an opportunity for any young person to showcase their hard work and talents.

 

Chandler says Friday is her favorite day of the fair, featuring a full schedule of activities beginning with the exhibitors' breakfast at 8 a.m. The day also includes the annual Skillathon competition, an adult bake-off with entries due by noon, a silent auction of baked goods running from 2 to 8 p.m., and livestock judging beginning at 6 p.m.
