The Independence Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a missing man.

Daniel James Hillyard has been reported missing and has not been seen or heard from by family or friends in several weeks. Hillyard is described as a white male, six feet tall, weighing about 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

IPD says his last known location is unknown, but he may have been seen on County Road 3900, about six miles south of Independence. Anyone with information on Hillyard's whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or IPD at (620)332-1700.
