Crimes rates in Montgomery County continue to drop as prosecutions increase.

 

That was the report from County Attorney Melissa Johnson at this week's Montgomery County Commission meeting. She says preliminary indicators for 2025 suggest things are moving in the right direction.

 

Johnson says the County has been diligent in prosecuting crimes.

 

Johnson adds that drug offenses continue to be the top issue in the county and that those crimes drive other property crimes like burglary and theft.
