An Independence man is injured in a crash that ended a police chase in northern Montgomery County.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning just before 3am as law enforcement pursued a suspect vehicle as the driver fled southbound along US-75. The driver – identified as 26-year-old Darrius B.S. Scott – failed to stop at the stop sign at the US-75/US-400 junction and crossed Highway 75 at a high rate of speed. His 2006 Infiniti M-35 left the roadway and struck a post and a fence before coming to rest. Scott was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha with minor injuries.
No other details have been released regarding the incident.
