Kansas Secretary of State Reduces Fees for Kansans

Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab announces a reductions in fees for both individuals and business across the state, to simply the fee structure and lower costs for residents.

The changes eliminate more than two dozen fees while reducing several others through a series of regulatory changes. Notable reductions include biennial business filings which will reduce the information report fees business pay by nearly $850,000 each year. Also reduced are the fees for forming L-L-Cs and other partnerships, as well as the annual report filing fee for Professional Employer Organizations.

Schwab stated that modernizing the agency has been a priority for his administration to allow Kansas business owners the freedom to focus on growing their businesses instead of worrying about navigating bureaucracy.
