Two people are facing charges after a weekend traffic stop in Crawford County.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a Crawford County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop in Pittsburg. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 42-year-old Nichole Kichler of Girard and her passenger as 49-year-old Sterling Reece of Pittsburg. The deputy discovered Reece had an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody without incident.
Probable cause was established to search the vehicle after a suspected controlled substance was located in plain view. Deputies searched the vehicle and located approximately 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Kichler was also placed under arrest, and both were transported to the Crawford County Jail in Girard where they face formal charges.
