The Parsons Police Department is thanking the community for completing another safe school year.

According to P-P-D, during the past year Parsons Police Officers conducted 764 school zone enforcement/safety details, including 198 details focused specifically on school bus stops while children were loading and unloading. There were also no reported crashes within school zones this school year, though officers did issue citations for speeding and improper passing of stopped school buses.
