One person is dead and another is injured following a high-speed crash in a McLaren near Overland Park.
The accident occurred just before 5pm on Wednesday on Merriam Lane at 34th Street, just north of Overland Park. The 570-S McLaren driven by 28-year-old Sydney Patrick Jay Kile of Olathe was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when he collided with another vehicle as it attempted to make a left turn. That collision then caused the high-performance sports car to collide with third vehicle. Kile was seriously injured in the crash. His passenger 74-year-old Roger Stroble of Kansas City suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at K-U Medical Center.
No one in the other vehicles was injured in the accident.
