The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrests two Baxter Springs men for crimes against minors.

 

Sheriff Brian Henderson announced that, on Monday, May 18 Sheriff's Deputies arrested 40-year-old David Plummer of Baxter Springs. Plummer is charged with four counts of Aggravated Criminal Sodomy of a Minor in the case. His arrest was part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

 

Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies made another arrest on Tuesday, May 19. Detectives with the Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at a Baxter Springs residence. 75-year-old George Ellis was taken into custody on a warrant for Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Breach of Privacy.

 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office did not indicate whether the two arrests were related.
