The new Assistant Police Chief is sworn into office in Independence.

 

The Independence Police Department recently announced the hiring of Jimmy Holt to serve as the Assistant Chief of Police. Holt was sworn into office at the recent Independence City Commission meeting. Holt receives the Oath of Office from City Clerk Dave Schwenker.

 

Mayor Dean Hayse says the City is fortunate to be able to hire such qualified people.

 

Holt brings more than 20 years of law enforcement experience to his new role. He most recently served as Chief of Police in Cherryvale.
