A Dewey High School senior is taken into custody after officers recovered a handgun in a vehicle on campus.

School Resource Officer Josh McCully received a call at around 9:50am this morning regarding a student in possession of a handgun on the Dewey High School campus. Police Chief Jimmy Gray says he and officers responded to the school.

Police identified the student as Dewey High School Senior Gavin Bohannan.
