The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is this weekend in Cherryvale.

Events start tonight with the queen coronation at 6 p.m. in Logan Park. On Friday, events begin with a parade at 5:30 in downtown, dinner in the park at 6 along with music from the band “Straight Away.” There will also be an evening glow run 5k at 8:30.

Saturday will bring an big lineup of events with the car show starting at 8 a.m. Craft vendors and food trucks will open at 9 p.m. With music by “Big Country” at 9:30. A cake walk will start at 10 a.m. at the Chamber office in addition to performances by Stage Art and R&S Dance Studio. There will also be Bingo at the Chamber office at 1 p.m. KGGF staff will broadcast live updates between 10 a.m. and noon on Classic Hits 104.1, courtesy of KC 24 Hour Truck Repair, Sale Bros Seed, Discount Delights and the City of Cherryvale.
