One man is dead after a head on collision in northeast Kansas.
The accident occurred around 9:30 on Wednesday morning on US-36 in Washington County, Kansas, or about 50 miles north of Manhattan.
A 2023 Toyota Highlander driven by 75-year-old Marvin Ost of Menifee, California, was traveling eastbound when he crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semi. The crash caused the semi to partially overturn in the roadway. Ost suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the semi 40-year-old Brian Lueking of Superior, Pennsylvania, sustained minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital.
