A 19-year-old Hutchinson woman dies in a crash on K-96.

The accident occurred Monday afternoon around 4:15 near the intersection of Trail West Road or about 3 miles south of South Hutchinson. A semi truck was legally parked on the shoulder of K-96 and was approached by a northbound Dodge Durango driven by 19-year-old Nathan Pfannenstiel of Hutchinson. The driver veered onto the should and struck the parked semi. The collision caused fatal injuries to a passenger in the Durango, 19-year-old Baylee Flynn. She was pronounced deceased later that evening at Wichita's Wesley Medical Center.
