One Injured in Two Vehicle Crash in Neosho County

One person is injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 169 in Neosho County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 10:00am Friday morning on southbound U.S. 169 at 150th Road. Troopers say both vehicles were traveling south when a 2009 Kia Spectra entered the right turn lane and then attempted to turn left onto 150th Road. A southbound semi truck then sideswiped the Kia.

The driver of the Kia, 31-year-old Brittany Nicole Spears of Neodesha, was taken to Neosho Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries. An infant passenger in the vehicle was reportedly uninjured and properly restrained in a child safety seat. The driver of the semi, 66-year-old Gilbert Michael Perry of Hennessey, Oklahoma, was not injured in the crash.
