Four juveniles are injured in a rollover crash northeast of Girard in Crawford County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after midnight at 150th Street and K-47. Troopers say a 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by a 16-year-old of Girard was southbound on 150th Street when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, struck a culvert, and rolled over twice before coming to rest upright.
The driver was taken to Girard Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. Three passengers, two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old also of Girard, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Troopers reported two occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. District 4 Fire personnel, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Girard Police Department, Crawford County EMS and the Kansas Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
