South Coffeyville Public Schools is looking for donations to help create an indoor playground space for students.
The school is collecting toys and games through June 30th for use during rainy days and cold weather. Organizers say donated items should be appropriate for children ages 4 and older. Requested donations include dress-up costumes, Legos, board games, puzzles, bean bags, dry erase markers, step stools and educational games focused on subjects like math and reading. The school says it already has plenty of books, board games, blocks and a play kitchen.
Cash and check donations are also being accepted and will go toward additional items for the indoor playground. Donations can be dropped off at the elementary office.
