Oklahoma Tax Revenues Increase for April

Oklahoma tax revenues grow substantially from March to April.

The Oklahoma State Treasurer’s Office released the April State Tax Revenue Report yesterday, showing increases in almost all areas.

Total monthly collections reached $2.5 billion, up 76.1% from March and 23.2% higher than April 2025. Over the past 12 months, Oklahoma collected $17.8 billion, an increase of $894 million, or 5.3%, compared to the prior year.

The state’s 12-month trend has bounced back, after a dip in revenues in February and March. The rolling 12-month total has shown a sharp increase in April, indicating strong momentum and a more robust revenue trajectory heading into the second quarter.

Income Tax collections were up by 105.9%, while the Sales & Use Tax grew by 10%. Gross Production Taxes increased slightly by 1.2%. The only decline was in Motor Vehicle Taxes, which were down 3.2%.

Oklahoma's Unemployment rate was 3.9%, compared to 4.3% nationally.
