Prosecutors in Barton County, Kansas, file a motion to charge a 14-year-old Great Bend boy as an adult.
The boy was arrested last month as the main suspect in the death of another 14-year-old Rubi Perez. Perez was reported missing on April 8th after attending a class at a nearby school. Her body was found the next day behind a nearby dirt pile. The suspect was arrested soon after.
Barton County authorities have released little information on the case, including the cause of death.
A hearing for the motion for adult prosecution has been set for August 26 and 27.
