Montgomery County chooses a consulting firm to lead the process of creating a new County comprehensive plan.
The County issued an Request for Proposals or R-F-P last month in order to find a consulting firm to take the lead in writing the new plan. County Administrator Jonathan Booe says staff has been taking a close look at the proposals.
The comprehensive plan is the county’s long-term blueprint for balancing growth, development, and preservation so the community develops in a way that matches local goals and priorities. This new version is expected to include regulations for zoning in Montgomery County. Booe says a decision has been made based on the R-F-Ps.
The company is expected to complete their work by September 2027.
