Two road improvement projects along Highway 59 in Parsons have officially been completed.
According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, work began in September on portions of North and South 16th Street. One project reconstructed a stretch of North 16th Street near Walmart, while the second focused on South 16th Street near the Little Labette Creek bridge. Most of the construction work has now wrapped up and barricades have been removed, although contractors still have a few remaining tasks to finish that are not expected to impact traffic. Mission Construction of St. Paul served as the contractor on the nearly $3,000,000 project.
