Power has been restored to the water treatment plant.

 

The City is asking that all water users for the City Of Coffeyville to continue their efforts to limit water use over the next 12 hours as the work to refill the water basins and stabilize the system.

 

They thank residents for their cooperation.

The City of Coffeyville is asking residents to conserve water until further notice after an issue at the water treatment plant.

 

City officials say a contractor accidentally struck an overhead line earlier today while working on a new transmission waterline, leaving the facility currently not operational. Crews are working to restore service as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, residents and large water users are urged to limit usage to essential needs only.

 

The city says updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
