It’s a sure sign that summer is just around the corner.
The Independence Farmers and Makers Market opened for the season on Saturday,
The market featured dozens of vendors selling items such as farm-fresh produce, homemade baked goods, locally raised beef and handmade crafts. Local citizens turned out to shop for great bargains and chat with friends and neighbors.
The Independence Farmers and Makers Market is open every Saturday and Thursday through October 10 in the parking lot located at 8th and Chestnut Streets. The hours are 5 to 7 on Thurdays and 7:30 through 11am on Saturdays.
