The Kentucky Derby came to Coffeyville on Saturday.
The Coffeyville Historical Society held the Run for the Roses fundraiser at the Brown Mansion on Saturday, where attendees were able to watch the Derby as well as enjoy the grounds of the historic mansion.
In addition to watching the race, which saw Golden Tempo make history as the first female-trained Kentucky Derby winner, attendees were able to play games such as croquet and cornhole, enjoy traditional Derby food and drinks, and for many of the ladies in attendance, wear big hats.
Organizers say the event was a huge success and plans are already underway for the 2027 Derby.
