The Montgomery County Commission will meet today with a light agenda of business.

At today’s meeting County Administrator Jonathan Booe and Assistant County Administrator Kory White will discuss with commissioners the recent Request for Proposals for the County Comprehensive Plan & Zoning regulations. The County issued the R-F-P last month in order to find a consulting firm to take the lead in writing the new plan. The comprehensive plan is the county’s long-term blueprint for balancing growth, development, and preservation so the community develops in a way that matches local goals and priorities. This new version may include regulations for zoning in Montgomery County.

Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
