One person is injured in a two-vehicle accident north of Cherryvale.

The crash occurred on US-169 just south of the US-400 junction or about 5 miles north of Cherryvale. Around 1pm on Thursday. 44-year-old Stephanie Dorsey of Topeka was southbound on US-169 in a Dodge Ram pickup. Dorsey pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway and attempted to make a u-turn. It was then that her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck driven by 41-year-old Adam Odegard of Winfield.

Dorsey suffered minor injuries and was transported to Labette Health for treatment. Odegard was uninjured.
