The Wilson County Commission was joined by Sheriff Pete Kuhn at this week’s meeting to discuss renovations to the Sheriff’s Office and County Jail.

 

Sheriff Kuhn says the facility has upwards of 20 central heat-and-air units that they are looking to replace.

 

Given how much work there is to do, it has been recommended that it be rolled out gradually.

 

Also discussed at the meeting, Wilson County is offering the Sheriff’s office $18 per hour for a new deputy position. Sheriff Kuhn is instead considering using the funds to issue raises.
