A Springfield, Missouri, man is arrested in Oklahoma and faces charges for crimes against children.

 

The Miami Police Department with the assistance of local, tribal, state, and federal partners arrested a man in rural Ottawa County after the service of a search warrant. Authorities served the warrant on a rural residence near Miami on April 22. During the execution of the warrant, investigators located and seized evidence supporting allegations of criminal activity involving the exploitation of a minor. Police arrested the suspect, identified at 46-year old William Melton Goode. At the time of his arrest, Goode was a registered sex offender in the State of Oklahoma, stemming from a prior felony conviction. He was taken to the to the Ottawa County Jail and booked on multiple felony charges, including Solicitation of a Minor, Lewd or Indecent Acts, and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes statutes.

 

The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
