Osage County deputies investigate a report of a burglary in the McCord area on Sunday.

 

Deputies responded to the same residence for burglary reports twice on the same day. The second time they were called to the residence for another report of a burglary in progress, deputies found Patrick Longacre of Ponca City. Longacre was armed and barricaded himself inside the residence.

 

Osage County Sheriff's deputies along with officers from the Ponca City Police Department determined that Longacre had unlawfully entered the residence of his ex wife while armed with a knife. After establishing a perimeter and establish a tactical plan, they were able to distract and detain Longacre without major incident or injury.

 

Longacre was taken to the Osage County Jail and charged with two counts of burglary, breaking and entering, vandalism, destruction of property, threats and intimidation.
