HSH Homeless Ministry in Independence will hold a fundraiser dinner on Saturday.
The meal will feature pulled pork sandwiches, cold slaw, baked beans, mac and cheese, a dessert and a drink. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. There will also be a silent auction for a Jim Hayward original painting and a raffle for a 53-pound meat bundle.
HSH Homeless Ministry helps provide temporary housing for homeless men, women, and children, families and veterans, and works to assist them to an independent lifestyle through mentoring and guidance.
This weekend's fundraiser takes place on Saturday from 5 to 7pm at the First Baptist Church at 220 South Penn in Independence.
