Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power will roll out a new power outage reporting system tomorrow.

 

Electric Utility Administrative Assistant Amy Taylor says the new system will modernize how outages are handled.

 

Taylor says the new system will provide a better experience for both customers and employees.

 

Residents will be able to call or text in an outage at a new number and follow automated prompts. Text updates will also be sent to affected customers during outages, and landline customers will receive a phone call with the same information. In addition, a power outage map will be available on the city website. The new number is 620-709-8893.
